A regional construction sales/service organization with 18 locations across the Pacific Mountain region.

Challenges

  • A lack of communication between locations allowed lines to go without usage for months.

  • The company was in contract with a expense management company at the time of our audit, and assumed there could not be additional savings found.

  • The company was adding lines at a rapid rate and was concerned savings would evaporate as we added lines.

How We Helped

  • We changed the cost structure within the same plan to a more efficient cost per gigabyte of usage rate and still increased total allowance.

  • Increased the number unlimited plans to the highest 5% of users to allow us to lower overall data need, creating a larger buffer.

  • Implemented a weekly review of the account and monthly reporting to document all changes to usage and need.

Results

  • Monthly Savings: $4,303

  • Percentage Saved: 15.75%

  • Savings Per Device: $8.58
